Salamandors

I used to dig around the creek banks as a kid. Every once in a while I would find dark purple to black salamandors with big yelow spots. Does anyone know the name of this type of salamandor?

Trout, I never saw them in southern Michigan. It was in Mio(30 mi. east of Grayling).

Creek banks are cool places for kids to explore!!

Salamanders are cool I've only seen 2 in the wild in my life though, well in Michigan that is. In Cocoa Beach Fl. they were everywhere.
