Me and a friend drove to Wilson Hill Park on Thursday morning and tried to get out to do some ice fishing. We saw only 2 guys on ice. We made it out about 100 yards and tested the ice with a spud. It went through in one try. We turned around and left the ice. The problem is there is too much snow on the ice. I plan on returning monday to try again.

there were about 10 trucks or so at the boat lunch. we made it almost out to where most of the guys were fishing and we made a test hole. as soon as we got through water started to pour out of hole. there was about 5 inches of sluch and 2 inches of ice so we back up about 100 yards or so were the slush had frozen and there was about 4 inches of ice. we didn't get a bite but one guy that came by that was fishing the thin ice caught his limit. we didnt want to risk it for a few gills. theres about a foot of snow there.
