I want to get a radio so I can keep in touch with members of this site on the ice. Mostly LSC.
What would be the best buy for the money?
what range do you look for?
where is a good place to buy one?
what is a fair price?
I know nothing about them, I need all the help any one is willing to give me.
Thank You

Get yourself a motorola and you can't go wrong....Look for one that has the 5 mile range and you will be in business. I would imagine that you can get a good one for around $25. I have the 6100 model and use it for work too...Beat the heck out of it and it still works great, about 3 years old.

Get the 5 mile range anything less and you will be purchasing another set. I had the two mile, and eventually bought the five mile range Motorola

Check out these radios (http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/reviewpost/showproduct.php/product/1/sort/7/cat/4/page/1) . You can sometimes get them quite cheap at overstock.com.

Watch for them to go on sale at Dunhams. I got a pair of T5710 Motorolas with dual charger and 2 earbuds for $39.95.
