there are a lot of ways to make a lot of ice fishing lures, what type are you thinking of making. I've attempted to make some jigs, ect. The time and money you will put into it??? I learned it is easier to buy the darn things.

What kind of lures? jigs? spoons? flies? teardrops?

I'd rather buy Jammin jigs and use my time on other things. Can't beat the price and quality.

AL, If you need any info on how to make your own, would PM ficious. That guy can make some nice jigs.

www.jannsnetcraft.com has all the stuff you would need to make them but JamminJigs @ $.45 apiece is impossible to beat.

I live 5 minutes down the road from Netcraft and have seen Jammin jigs and would still recomend Ficious jigs over all of them. His work is sweeeeet. I have some fine examples of his on the way to my mail box now.

yes Ficious has my vote. All his jigs are tested and proven fish catchers. I have 15 to 20 of his jigs . They are made to fish LSC and have that right action.

Yet another vote for Ficious, he makes some awesome looking jigs! Here's the link to his website with pics of the jigs he makes: www.ficiousjigs.com

Around here we've always used spoons, and teardrops. Those lures that ficious makes are very nice.

Neil, Cabelas sells them unpainted, little jigs. You never told me if you got mine. You should have and I am sorry about the quality. I have some more that are unpainted if you want some.....Free of course. I owe you. But I will admit ficious's jigs are sweet and am thinking of getting a dozen to fish with.

Trust me they catch the smallest perch in st clair too. The big ones are o.k but the smaller ones are better. Useinnow heads or anise jensen eggs on the ones with no beads. By the way when done take the jensen egg off...........they will eat paint. Neil my lures are better, when I have the right paint.

I also have to say that I ordered Jammin jigs and Ficious jigs, the jammin jigs are very nice, but Harry's (Ficious) are like little works of art, they are very well done and worth every penny. I can honestly say that you will not regret your purchase.
