Well less see the club is on 65 acres in day township 4 miles east of Stanton north side of the road.3 years ago members cut some of the red pines on the property and built a 20x30 log cabin. It came out better than any of us ever imagined.ended up with log furniture, 54 inch oak table, and oak cupboards with dry sink(no running water).put in a new heater, stove and refrigerator, and its set to go.we rent it out for weekends and by the week. The rabbit hunt started about 7 years ago 30 to 40 guys we go to local merchants and solicit prizes was fun and grew from there. This year raffle gun will be a Marlin 44 mag lever action rifle, scope, and sling. We are debating right now of putting up a shotgun so there is a choice and use the one left over as a prize for our end of the winter Texas Holden poker tournament. We started giving tickets for every rabbit brought in and learned that was not the way to go. So now with registration you get 5 tickets good for all prizes (we now have some that come for breakfast and are unable to hunt but stay and play cards till the drawing) If you do get a rabbit when you come back you get one rabbit ticket per hunter and that is good on the 22 auto. last year we had 18 # of bacon 18# of sausage 20# ham. and had to run to the store at 8 am, that will not happen again. we had 200 sign up by 8 am great hunt. We just about filled our 50 X 100 clubhouse. Prizes we will have over 200 you may only win a knife or something but we like to send something home with everyone so they remember us during the year. Don't know what else to say. any other questions let me know Dan

Kids are the only reason we exist I love it when a kid wins. 2 years ago one won the 22 he stood up looked at his ticket set down showed it to dad then got up again. even those that are not old enough to hunt can still register. There our future get them evolved early. How ever be warned some bring refreshments to enjoy after the hunt. Dan

It sounds like a fun event, and even better if my daughter can go with me. The breakfast itself sounds worth the drive, even with a bad case of the flu at the moment, I surely hope to partake in the breakfast.
Do you guys sell hats or tee shirts for the events? might be an extra way for the club to make some extra cash? Rich PS how long of drive you figure from the Flint area?

I'm game. I live in Carson City. Bout 20 minutes from there. Anybody from the site that wants to hook up, let me know. I'm local and know alot of the farmers in the area, so we will have alot of private ground we can hunt.
I also have one of Rob McCoys beagles that likes nothing better than to chase raggits all day.
Lets go get'em !
I plan on being there. CMSC has a great setup. The cabin is fantastic. They allowed PF to hold a youth hunter's safety class there and donated a weekend in the cabin for us to auction off at the PF banquet. Anyone interested in a fun day should check this out. They do a great job. The breakfast alone should be worth the trip. There is lots of state land nearby to chase those "wascaly wabbits" also.
