My mom promised to get me a new Shappell DX4000 for X-mass, but told me I have to do the footwork. Anyone know of any sites with good prices? I have yet to find one for under $360, almost $400 w/ shipping and handling.

Wow, is that how much those DX4000's go for? For that amount of money, I'd just get 2 Shappell 3000's.
I picked up my 3000 last year for $150 at Gander Mountain.
I can't believe the price jump between those 2 sizes.

I bought a 4000 from Gander Mountain just when they started to go on sale last year (in early February I believe) and got it for about $200 even. Went home, set it up in my living room and quickly realized I did not want to be dragging this monster around the ice. Since I had not taken it outside, the folks at Gander Mountain were very kind and accepted the return at which point I bought another DX3000, much more suitable for me....
