I heard this on WWJ today at lunch. Does anybody know any details?

Not the time of year for a swim..... Hope everyone was OK.. Maybe it was just adrift. CG found one floating around the middle channel last time I was out, about 3 weeks ago.

Hopefully with the wind we had yesterday, it just went adrift. I can't imagine anybody trying to venture out in that. Not even the duck hunters are that foolish! :p :hide:

I haven't heard any updates but about 3 hours ago, I heard a report on WJR. They said that someone had been spotted in the water but not rescued. They were searching at last report. :( Doesn't sound good.

Duck season closed Sunday. Goose season is open, but goose hunters are not as nuts as those that hunt the dark side! I hope! :yikes:

Good news !

The report I heard earlier about there being someone spotted in the water was apparently incorrect. The CG said that they sent out a dive team but then found that the boat had just gotten loose from its dock. Looks like everyone's ok ! I just heard THIS report on Fox 2 News a few minutes ago.

Wheeew ! ;)

will the owner of the runaway boat get charged for the dive team being called out?

If I can identify the boat, maybe they will let me have it for the "recovery" fee??

Lets see, it had a pointy end, used, motor may or may not have fallen off, same with electronics, held water when upside down, etc etc etc. :)
