Just picked up an 8" Lazer auger for $58 and change out the door. Sports Authority has them priced at $64.95 and right now they are running a special between now and X-mas. On WEDNESDAY only there is a coupon that runs in the Free Press good for $10 off any purchase of $50 or more. Also a coupon for $30 off any purchase $200 and over.
Hope this helps out anyone looking for a Lazer. :p
They also have the 6" for $59.99 without the coupon.
Go get em while they're hot!!!

I'm not really sure, all I saw on the floor is the 6" and 8". The six might be the ticket for you though.

Does Sports Authority have a good ice fishing section in general?
I was at Dick's Sporting Goods last night in Novi and all they had were a couple shanties and a couple augers. No poles, jigs, etc... The guy there said they usually wait until the end of December, then clear out all the bow hunting stuff, and THEN they put out the rest of the ice stuff. Can't believe they wait till after Christmas. Weird...

don't tell anyone but......
sports auth. sometimes is one of those sneaky spots you can find stuff that is not picked over because no one goes there (at least here in flint). I always find something good there....its usually stuff you don't see at a lot of other places or its a good price. They don't have the biggest selection of anything but it can be worth it.
sure wish i could get one of those coupons.

The Sports Authority by my house on John R and 14 mile had some great deals on ice-fishing equipment. Bought a new South Bend reel for $7 and they had a pretty good selection of lures and the like

I couldn't stand it any longer! I went to Sports Authority and bought a 6" Lazer just because of these hand auger threads. You guys were driving me crazy so I had to do it! No coupons, no discounts. I just had to have it. I hope you're satisfied!
