Try GanderMountain, the stores on this side(east) of the state usually have them.

I know Selfridge bait and tackle has them, and if you nice he will give you one. Just make sure you buy a little Somethin-Somethin...... Also go on Fishlakesimcoe.com and they have them on-line....

I think were talking about a little different Map Mush. I have the one from Selfridge as well, basically he ran them off on his copy machine. The other ones for both Simcoe and Cooch are like Hot Spot maps with more detail about individual areas and species prelevant to those areas (cost some $)....We use ours all the time with highlighted areas and notes from years past and to plot courses across the lake while were on the move trying to locate active fish...

Captain, let me know if you find that map. That sounds like a good map to me...hot spots and all. One day out there, we must of fished 10 different spots on the lake, (we had the truck out there) we stopped in the middle of the lake just for kicks in 90 ft of water, no one around and started pulling Perch. That lake is full w/ perch. My point being is, they are everywhere.
never did that in any other lake, and did well.....

Thanx guys for all the help. Mission accomplished!! I called Frank's and they are sending one. All the other places carry them, but were sold out. This Lake Simcoe must be awsome. Their sure is a lot of interest in it. I can't WAIT! Capnhook

Mushy,
I got a way of turning "they were everywhere", to "I haven't seen a perch in a week". I gotta use every advantage I can find. You and I definitely have to talk before I leave for Simcoe.
That was, indeed the FRANKS in Linwood. Thanks for your input. Lookin forward to pickin your brain for some SIMCOE SECRETS. Capnhook

I would be very careful driving your truck on Simcoe. Cooks bay maybe, but even on cooks there is a pressure crack that runs just south of roches point straight across towards the marina. One of my first trips over there we were tooling around the ice in my truck, we had tried quite a few spots, and it was slow so we ventured out towards roches, and drilled a hole . I had been drilling through two ft of ice all day , but this time the auger went through in about two seconds. We got back in the truck, and got the hell out of there. On the big lake every year a few trucks go through. There are cracks out there everywhere.

Years ago we used to drive all over the Lake, but now we mainly use the quads. If we don't have enough machines and depending on the ice, somebody will drive a Cat road out and then park on that Cat road, and then we'll shuttle with the quads from there..Friends put a van thru next to Georgina one year, drove on 2+' all day and then hit some shelf ice and put it right in, in 4 Fow. Major $$$ to get her out.
