I was gonna post this in the recipe forum but I didn't think enough people that love to eat fish would see it. First I would like to say that this is FANTASTIC! Ohh soooo goood! Serisously. Ok here it is......

Mexican Sushi

3lb White Fish
18 Limes
4 Cucumbers
1 Whole onion
1 Cilantro Bunch
4 Tomato's
Extra) Immitation Crab Meat and/or shrimp. (recomended)

Chop EVERYTHING into very small, I mean as small as it can possibly get and put it into a big bowl. Then squeze the crap out of the lemons into a seprate container and then combine the 2. Put a lid on the food and put it in the Frig for about 24hrs. Make sure everything is covered with lemon juice. And eat with tostada's or crackers. You can add ketchup or hot sauce.

The fish isn't really sushi, but in a way it is. Its not actually cooked through boiling, baking or deep frying. Well what happens to the meat and the veggies you put in the frig is the lemon cooks it. The strong acids, have a chemical reaction with the food and cooks it. Its a great dish! Its got the sweet lemon taste along with everything else you put in it. And it is EXTREMLY HEALTHY!

Sounds like a great Recipe. There is a forum for Wildgame Recipes, I don't know if I can move it there or should but just some info for the future! Thanks for the Recipe though!

Sorry Northern. I know about the recipe sectoin, I just thought while everyone was fishing instead of hunting I might as well post it in warm water. Thought it would have gotten more hits that way.

Hey Shooter - I'd like to try it, but do you use lemons or limes?

Howdy-
Use limes. It is called ceviche (se-VEE-chay) and there is a recipe on another thread....

Sounds like a good appetiser for a summer cookout or back yard party.

SalmonSmoker, it is a perfect summertime snack or appetiser. Scoop it up with fresh tortilla chips, or serve on saltines. Extra good with a dollop of Chollula or Tamazula hot sauce on top!
