I looked out the window this morning and noticed that my canal
had frozen over. So, for something to do, I traveled from
Fairhaven to just past downtown Algonac. Everything looked
frozen to me (except the North Channel and LSC). St Johns Marsh
was fozen over from one end to the other. Not sure if a teardrop,
Split shot, slip bobber would have broken thru, I didn't try it.My
canal turned back to softwater at around 2pm.
I think we had a "sticky", last year, where could you post ice
conditions, That was a nice feature.......Hope it comes back???

Yeah Joe, we can do that as soon as we start getting some ice to walk on. Your part of the lake is usually first along with some inland lakes.

Crappie run should start decent when there's about 1 inch of ice. Not for the light-hearted, or light weighted... :)
This years been different than any year I've seen, no gaurantees, but if it's anything like the last few years, should be no problem getting a limit between a few guys. I'm talking 9 inchers up to 14. Send a PM if interested. Got room for maybe 3 or 4 fishin' folks.........

I'm in the Shores, love to crappie fish, usually fish alone, always looking for a buddy to go with. Shoot me a PM when it's time and I'd be honored to join some fellow MI Sportsmen on some crappies/gills.
