I built this box today for front rack storage on my quad and also put a auger mount on it. The box is 42w x 16d x 16t. I will mainly be storing saftey gear in this box but some other misc. stuff as well. A thanks To ED M. for the mounting ideas and some tips on the extra safety gear that hopefully will never be needed but if it is I will have it. I mounted this with 6 carriage bolts to my front rack. I still need to pain the inside as well

Wow H.L. Those are some neat boxes but man are they pricey. I mad mine out of scrap wood and extra hardware I had laying around the garage. So I consider mine a freeby....lol

Sweet lookin rig! You might wanna look into putting a piece of foam weather strip on the front edge of the top to keep snow from blowing in as your driving.

When the lid is closed there is almost no gap at all. Talking less than a 1/16 of an inch here. Still think I might need to the weather stripping on? Just so happens I do have a bunch of that laying around too

You might not, being its up off the ice and on the front of your quad. The sled I pull "Behind" my snowmobile/quad gets more snow on it and even the tiny'st of an opening lets snow in it. If you do put some foam across the front make sure and grease it or use vasoline or silicone lube on it. This will prevent sticking and tearing once it gets wet and freezes. Might be a good "let's see what happens" program.

shadow7663-
they were old skis from a cart that we used to pull kids around with on a snowmobile. The cart got old and we thought that the skis would make a great base for an ice fishing box. We raised it up with 2 2x4s because we get some high snow around here as you know. Then we just attached the box onto the 2 2x4s with big ole' wood screws. The skis were one whole unit and they were tapped for bolts so it made it real easy.
