Point Pelee

Seeking any information on ice fishing and fishing in general near the Point Pelee National Park in Canada. I am in the process of buying a cottage very near to the park entrance on Lake Eerie and am wondering what kind of fishing to expect through the ice and in summer. Also wondering whether the fabled smelt fishing is still as productive as the legendary tales I have heard.
