When will first ice be? Here's temps

I've been following the temps. We'll need another 10 days to know better. Does anyone know when the ice forms compared to the temp out in the middle of the lake by the bouys? If its 32 out there, then the whole lake would be frozen over. So here's what I came up with, enjoy!

Current window forcast is Dec 17th through Jan 14th, but the chart shows the Actual temps with two different slopes similar to what NOAA does with huricanes but at a MUCH simpler level.

I just hope it's soon :lol: Gun season is over,duck season is almost over,all I've got left is late pheasant and I'll be having outdoor withdrawls! Never did care much for late bow season and with all the 13in fish in the Saginaw last year this year should be awesome!I can't wait :D

yesterday with all the rain, there were worms on the sidewalks :( not a good sign so far. for nov. 30th to dec, 1st.

(IN)Accuweather's long term forcast has it getting down into the 20's around the 7th of december with highs in the 30's....I'm still sticking with the 21st...

Ummmm...I went back and check the weather site...Of course it has all changed in the last two days. Don't think that 26 is going to make a lot of ice :mad:

I think I finally worked it out at home. Lets see if the chart appears. Thanks to Ed for trying and the assistance. If it works, I'll be a happy camper! ;)

I'd say that would be in the ballpark....

I remember some years driving my car out of fairhaven at xmas, other years it was 65 out. Need some calm, cold nights to get it going.

I know I saw ficious out by the canals on Harson's throwing some blocks of ice in ! :lol: Think it will help Harry? By the 28th I hope. Ficious got me fired up.

In SE michigan, around Chrismas.......we have had a cool winter and very chilly fall. Yesterday it did not get above freezing, but, now there is a warmup, then another cool down. People in the Northern Lower and UP are seeing ice right now...
