Just sitting at work thinking 3 more weeks to Christmas vacation. Hope we have at least enough ice on the pond to walk out a 1/4 mile or so. I can close my eyes and see jumbo perch in my hole. Then I thought I've never caught a Gobie while icefishing. Lots when I'm Perch fishing in Caseville in the summer and fall but never icefishing. I ice fish Fairhaven and SANG for the last 40yrs.and don't think I've even seen one in the hole . Where do them little seagul bait critters go in the winter?? :
I don't recall to many gobies if you stay off the bottom. Have caught a few mudpuppies :dizzy:

My guess would be real shallow. I'v punched holes in the marinas when there is only 2 or 3 inches of ice and found them real close to the sea wall in 1 foot of water.

Yup, they're pretty thick in my shallow canal right now.
