Feb. 19th the Grass Lake Sportsman club is sponsoring our 2nd annual winter
"Take a Kid Fishing Day" at the Grass Lake County Park. Last year we had around 60 kids and everyone went home with a prize plus we had 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for biggest pike, bluegill and perch. There will be a heated tent at the boat launch with hot food, coffee and hot chocolate. A local radio station and MUCC have committed to be there also. Hope to see you there. If you have any questions, please send me a pm.
Thanks,
Chuck

We are also looking for a source to by a cheap portable shanty to be raffled off in combination with a ice auger, tip ups,and poles. Any suggestions on where to purchase?

is that the free fishing weekend, when you do not have to have a license? As for the cheap stuff - to bad you did not buy stuff at the end of the season when they make it down.

It is free fishing weekend. The summer one is on free fishing weekend as well. It always amazes me how many single moms bring there kids out. There will be plenty of members there to help the kids as well as auger holes for them. Last year we even had two argos out there running people out and back.
