any good area's on the muskegon river?

I have never fished the muskegon river and have no clue whats in the river. Probably a good variety of fish I'm sure. I would like to catch some pike, walleye. Any ideas?

If you don't have a boat, try casting a small jig from below Roger's Dam. An orange body with a chartreuse head always worked best for me. I have caught SM bass, walleye, crappie, carp, and gills from there. Chad.

There are plenty of salmon and rainbows there now. Browns are hitting too. hope this helps even thought not warm water.
