Just curious when it will be to late to use deer scents? I am going up to oscoda county on thursday after i get my big dinner and will be hunting until sunday night. I have some doe estrus and doe in heat scents but dont want to use them if it will scare away the deer in the area if the rut is completely over. Any opinions? Also anyone ever use the deer scent sticks you burn? I bought them last year, but read that if you use them during the wrong time of the year it will actually scare away the deer. And that is deffinetly what i dont want to do. Being i still have a doe permit. I bought the sticks because i seen people use the apple scent on fred trost about 8 years ago and it worked pretty good, but never heard anyone talk about the rutrageous (type i bought). Never could find the apple scented ones. I tried using scents during my last bow hunt before rifle nov11-14 but never tried during rifle due to work. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated thanks alot
