The trends I'm seeing indecate that we may have a late ice. The U.P. has no ice yet Iron Mtn. has no ice, they usally have hard water by turkey day. I hope I'm wrong . What do you's think.

A few years back on the way up for deer hunting I saw a good size lake was frozen over (first time I saw that so early . I thought yahoo!. Well it was the winter we never had :( .
I think only time would tell. but if you look at the past history of the weather ect. It looks like we'll be doing good This winter. I hope .

Start day dreaming about the cows mooing and the ice will be here before you know it. ;) The war department is looking forward to fishing in a bigger shanty this year, so I guess that means the both of you need to be prepared for the winter madness. Though I did put a small first aid kit together. :yikes:

I just got my Gentz Vexilar FL18 kit. I'm dying to try it anywhere. Any tips?

you can try your vex in my hot tub if you wish! oh by the way, since you live right arround the corner(i live in commerce) maybe we can share a ride to metro 1 day.I spent more than my share of time either at selfridge, metro, or crocker last year. it beat the 15 years i kept a shanty on walled lake chasing pike. I can still go out there and find my spot. if your interested p.m. me.you've probably seen enough of my reports to know that i spend way too much time chasing our piscatorial friends.I bet we could do some reel damage to the perch population. I just arose from my long summer hibernation for the coming ice and thought ice men and women would like to read what NOAA has to say for this winter. Looking forward to posting more as the season kicks off.

Steve look for a dock in your area and just try it from there. It will work from your kitchen table but it will show up at about 3 ft. once it bounces off the floor.
