clear cuts how to find them??

I contacted the DNR about this they could not help. I would like to be able to loacted a clear cut that is being done or has been done in the last year on state land. Without driving around the county looking for it. I have found the grouse hunting to be good in these clear cuts as they start to get re-growth.

It seems to me that someone should know where and when clearcuts are being done on state land. If any one can help great.

We located a few by accident but that could be very hard in a area that has 50,000 acres .

If you contact the Forester at the district office for the area you are looking to hunt they should be able to help you. If it's on Federal land contact the Forester at the ranger office. These are the folks that are setting up these cuts so if any body knows it will be them.

For what it's worth if you spend the time driving you will find the cuts and possibly some other good spots.
