Ocqueoc or Au Sable

I have to go to Rogers City for business Friday afternoon. I am planning to drive up to pier fish and/or wade Thursday night and Friday morning. Any input on where to go, what to use, where to stay?

I don't know the Ocqueoc, but you should be able to find some places you can walk into Thur afternoon on the Ausable and possibly find some fish. Reports from the river are hit and miss, but there are some Steelhead around. It is probably a 1 1/2 hour drive to Rogers City from Oscoda.
There are some hotels and motels in Oscoda, and I doubt it would be hard to find a room during the week.

thanks! I looked at the map again and think I might head to Tippy instead, where a reliable source told me they were getting some decent steeli catches. I'll post a report after I get back.
