Does anyone know what kind of fish would be on the south branch before Chase Bridge? Anything besides trout/suckers?

Dogfish??? Lived here all my life and never heard of anyone catching or seeing a dogfish in this section...maybe closer to St Helen you might have dogfish!?!?!

Great pike fishing from Rosco to Chase, fish slower water and the inside and outside of any back water on the corners. There are some 36-40 inchers in there that are some big fish.

Some others that I have caught or seen caught are rockbass, bass(upper upper upper stretch of the river), herring(rare but we have caught them years ago, they might have been menominee!?, in spring above town), and sunfish(again above town a long ways up).

I wont be going up this year, I dont think. Just wondering for next year. My grandfather is around the last house closest to Chase Bridge. I was thinking about trying a dropoff spot where they come in and dig the river out sometimes so they can collect silt there and the river doesnt get to shallow. (I believe that's what it's done for) I was putting small minnows on a jig last year and caught some brookies, but that's all. What would I use for Pike there?

I was thinking about getting some panther martin spinners for pike in teh river. I've been reading some stuff and it seems that spinners work for pretty much anything in the rivers, is this correct? What types/colors would you suggest? They have some with fake minnows on, holographic, etc.
