anybody fishing the Ausable 10/24

thinking of making a kamikaze run up to Oscoda tomorrow, any body else fishing the AUSABLE for steel tomorrow ? If anybody else is up,maybe hook up for burger and beer break, compare notes,and back to the river.

moonlighting from this site has talked me into leaveing today,were meeting to watch the michigan game then on up to oscoda,if anybody else is hitting the au sable sunday still willing to meet up for a burger and beer and trade war stories. i'll have my cell on me 734 612 1482 .

moonlighting and I hit the river sunday we fished the lower end for steehead went 0 for 1 with another hit,I had the fish on long enough to yell at moonlighting this what were after,as I yelled my bucking rod went limp. we fished the lower end for steelhead,we did see some salmon still pushing up,drove around river seen salmon on beds,some were in pretty bad shape. the river was very low,I THINK WE NEED SOME RAIN BEFORE THE STEELHEAD ARE IN THE RIVER IN GOOD NUMBERS.

I went up there, was 0 for 2 on salmon, the first one was very large, im talking probably over 20#, I don't think he ever even realized that he was hooked, he just stayed in the hole fighting with the other salmon for about 5 minutes before he wrapped himself around enough logs that I didn't have a chance. Didn't see any steelhead, nor any other fisherman, besides a couple of boats that drifted by, so it was a good time.

Won't be up this weekend,weather permitting I'll be out on LK. ERIE. Catch at WILTSE'S another time. Good luck fishing and hunting.
