Went out this morning caught about 60 or so, kept 41, smallest was 8.5 " largest was 13. most were about 10-11 inches.
Fished in front of Art Vans as recommended by the fish wisperer Ed Michrina and did well, ( 7:00 till 1:30) then headed over to meet up with Ed in front of the 400 club got a couple more.
Most of the fish were caught in front of Art Vans but very early. Heard guys on the radio saying it was slow, I must have had the lucky spot
All in all had a great day.

GREAT JOB on the perch Tin Can. It was good seeing you on the lake today. It looked like you had the system going with those slip bobbers. :) My fav.!

Love the Slips, the Crappie rigs were working but the slips were the ticket.
Great to see you still exist Mr. Stringer, I was just wondering how you were doing the other day.

Tin Can and AWOL - Heard AWOL call you up when you were low on minnows. Thought I'd be able to find ya, with out alot of radio traffic. Did you guys see a cabin cruiser trying to get his anchor set about 3 or 4 different times? :dizzy: If so, I was in the right area. Otherwise you missed an hour long show of minimal fishing. Finally remembered to try trolling in reverse till you feel some pressure on the achor rope. Any other suggestions besides throwing out 500ft of line would be nice.
Did catch a few, mostly dinks. The few keepers we caught were when we went to get out of the wind between 9 mile and the YC.

I use a four foot of chain attached to the anchor, then I let it down slow, then when i know it has hit bottom I give a few slight pulls untill I feel some resistance, once I feel the resistance I slowly let out about 60-70 foot of line.
On a calm day I just whip, it out there.
Saturday was definately a though day to achor, I notice Ed had two out.
Yep this is the first time that I have ever ran out of minnows.

Nice job Eric!!! Its a nice but disheartening when you run out of minnows. The bike still runs like a champ and I have some extra rope for pulling sleds. Only a couple months away from injuring myself.

Someone on this site recommended a Digger Anchor from Bass Pro Shops. I bought one and it works great. No chain, sets fast.
I was concentrating so much on catching perch Sunday that I hardly heard anything said on the radio. Wanted to talk to some of you guys but didn't get the chance. My son and I caught around 50 perch, kept 20.
He fished the sunny side of the boat with minimal success. I fished the shady side of the boat and did pretty well.
I think I'll be out Tuesday afternoon with my cousin. 22 foot Boston Whaler. If anybody's out there give me a shout.

Eric, the boat is coming along fine. Replaced 39 rivets and teh boat doesn't leak anymore. I put up some pics of the job in the boat rigging forum. Don't ever want to do that job again, but it did save me a ton of cash by not getting a new boat.
