Well, I looked everywhere for that elusive Ed Michrina today and caught a few Perch here and there in the process. Started off in Campau Bay for a quick stop without success and headed toward the Johnson/Mitchells. $40 dollars of fuel later we hit some decent fish but it wasn't up to our expectations so we headed toward the Ruscom/Belle area. Every spot we stopped, we caught a few fish but couldn't find the big hungry school. After many miles searching, we finally spotted that 27 Tiara with the blue top and knew we found the honey hole. I tossed out a rod with old bait while I was putting on fresh bait on the other rod, double header on the dead bait! Yup, we found Ed and we're on um! :) We continued to take a few nice fish here and there and then Ed called to his disciples and told them to run for their lives. The action ceased and after awhile we decided to try another spot. After we left, he called his little friends back in and had his way with them! Is that accurate Ed? ;) Anyway, the two of us ended up with 72 but worked very hard to put those in the bucket. Things have got to get better soon, I hope!

Bite your tounge Mike! Ain't no way I'm paying that kind of money when I can get my own FRESH TASTY LSC Perch for $30/lb. if I don't lose any rigs to Bass and Mooskie. :p

Thats funny John, I was driving all around looking for that Pursuit, cuz I knew there would be fish under it ;) . I kinda figured It was out of my gas range. (what does it mean when that red ligt blinks by the gas gage :yikes: We really hit nothing big as far a #'s , infact you kicked our buts as far as numbers, now take in account that we didn't get out until after 11am . I'm guessing 28 to 30. Over 9" A few nice hogs but thats it, They are still on ice waiting to be cleaned. :Edited just cleaned that huge mess of perch LOL 32

It was funny 10 min's after you left a school of perch decided they liked the shadow my boat cast on the bottom and stuck around, for our dead one inch pin minnows. . Saved the day.

still a nice day on the pond and enjoyed talking with everyone form the site while on the water.

I was out there this afternoon listening to you guys but I couldn't transmit. Handheld with low batteries. Anyhow followed Ed's yesterday advice, went to 13 ft of water roughly in front of Art Van's. In five hours I probably caught over 100 perch but only kept 35 or so. Lot of dinks but did manage a couple of keeper doubleheaders.

I launched my little tub last evening about 6. Three of us fished from the Clinton to about Cotton Rd. One rip and just after dark one very nice northern, one of the best I have seen in a few years. Never took her out of the water, but she was approx 48" and would have gone 24-5#. Took a black Leo on a wash rod. Could have spit on "A bouy" when she hit. I think I might be able to find that spot again.;)

What a HOG! I've only caught one Pike in my life that was even close to that but was probably closer to 20 than 25#. good job my friend! :)

After spending the limited amount of time we had available yesterday out there I have nothing to report that wouldn't be somewhat of an embarrassment.

:help:

I can't make it back out there until the last two weeks or so of the month.

Hoping for more time out, fewer problems and most importantly; more fish! :fish2: :fish2: :fish: :fish2:

Good Luck out there all!!!
