Flatsman;
The following is from the latest issue of FUR-FISH-GAME:
....."Huge quantities of Raccoon came out of cold storage last year, and the market was held down by this offering of stale goods. Still, most will be moved by fall, except for lower grades and off-section goods, and everyone expects the market to stabilize. The big northern heavies will start strong, and some upside potential is possible on the better skins. Expect prices for fully prime goods to start at $15-$18, with some $20 skins. The better semiheavy skins will bring $12-$15 on the top end while coat types sell for $7-$8 tops. Early coon that are not yet prime will be worth little, so wait until they are prime."
Also, from the same article:
"Historically, however, when the market is sold out in spring, prices open strong in the fall. Next season could be the best in a decade for both trappers and fur buyers, predicts veteran New York trader Zach Roenfeld."
Hopefully, this is good news and trappers will once again go after those fledgling eat bandits:)
Hope this has helped you.

Thats good news. I would love to get out there and get some of those egg suckers. Last time I trapped them about 12-13 years ago I could not even give them to the fur buyer.
