I have 2 titanium steel force broad heads. The third bent some years ago when I shot it into the dirt(aperantly hit a rock). Id like to look at using these with my new setup, but Im hesitant to go buy another 3 at that price if I cant get em to fly right. I now have a morrel yellow jacket broad head target, so no worry about bending another head in the dirt. Im wondering if anybody has a dull one they practiced with, that I could borrow for a day or two? If not, I will shoot one of the two I have and if it flys right, then Ill buy some more. If not, guess Im not really out anything and Ill probably sell the two I have. I know the company will resharpen them, but the turn around time probably isnt the best this time of year. Ive tried sharpening bear broad heads in the past, and I cant get the hang of it. Anybody out there got one of these heads I can try? Mine are the serrated edge with the bleeder, but would think the non serrated with the bleeder would work as long as its 100gr.
thanks,
Ken

Here we go, I was afraid of this. Thornflow, I have several different namebrand broad heads that are dull from shooting em into the target. I would gladly let somebody borrow them. Id even let you borrow my underwear, just dont return them

I would help you but mine are all 125's and not serrated.
I believe they only offer the resharpening service from Jan-June.

Thanks for the offer MS, but I live in Howell. Thats just east of Lansing.
Ill probably just shoot one of the heads I have and see what happens.
Have you taken a deer with the Steel Force heads yet? Whats your thoughts on them? I bought them for my recurve, but am not thinking of trying them with the compound. Ive got Wasp Jackhammer 100's on my hunting arrows right now. They do the damage, but Im a bit leary at longer distances and quartering away shots.

Ken, I hunt in the Waterloo Area and am not to far from the Livingston CO line. However , Howell is a jaunt further ,but none the less I am familiar with the Town.
I took a decent 8 - point in the Fall of 2002 with a SF head and it did the trick ! This is my 3rd Season using them(skunked last bow season but not gun)and I like them.Very sharp cut on contact with good penetration and flight accuracy.I'll keep using them, but have been eye balling those G-5 Montects and would like to try those next year.
Take care and good luck.

Never been over to that area for hunting.
Well just got back in from shooting. The Steel Force heads shoot right in there. Ive got the one left thats still sharp. I put it in my quiver. Ill use it where I might have a longer shot, or where the brush is tight. The jackhammers will be used on close shots in somewhat open terrian.
Good luck to all,
Ken
