Does anyone have any info on to get a hold of The loc-on tree stand company?
I found that their 1-800 number is not good any longer and there Fax # has been disconnected and no email address. Are they still in business? I would like to purchase a new rope that hold the stand into the tree if possible.
Thanks Ben

I still have an old loc-on stand. It was one of my first stands ever. I had to replace the rope with a chain, but the stand is still in decent shape. If you can't find a rope, you may have to do the same thing. Good luck. <----<<<

I bought a ratchet strap for mine. (Auto parts store carries them or Meijers) The Hooks on the strap fit. It feels very secure being drawn tight to the tree instead of hanging.

Did you attach one end of the strap to the stand permently, so all you would have to do is hook the other end to the stand and tighten?

That’s possible by bending one of the hooks to secure the strap permanent to the stand.
However I left both ends open so I can decide which is the easiest side to hang it from.
Not all trees allow me to climb on the right side of the stand. I hook the side of the ratchet strap that will be furthest away from me while up the tree. I attach that to a rope and pull it up. Than I can swing the rope and strap to the side of the stand I am standing on and hook it. Pull the strap taught and ratchet the rest in.

Walmart has a Hunter View Razorback tree stand for $39 right now. It has a huge 30x24 platform and comes with the rachet straps. I picked one up last night for one of my spots I don't want to use my climber on. I also own a tree ladder stick which did make the $39 seem very cheap to me.
Just a thought...

Those climbing sticks go down to $29 a lot. So shop around, but really they are so freakin heavy you kill yourself carrying it out. Save your money and get a good aluminum one that weighs 1/4 compared to a Hunters View.
On the cheap that stuff is good, but hurt your wrist carrying it out and can't draw your bow back the rest of the afternoon it kinda defeats the purpose.
I know this because I have 3 of those Hunters View but settled on one API and the Hunters View sticks have been collecting dust for years now.
