Fried Fillets

Woke up at 5:30am, looked out the door, perfectly calm. Got to the launch, flag was already kick'n. :banghead3 Oh well, I haven't been out in 2 months, so I tried the 400 Club area...nothing. Motored down to 11 mile, banged 4 perch immediately, 2 being 8"+, then nothing. Moved out, then in, then back to a group just south of the 400 Club...nothing, nothing, dink. Heard Houghton Laker, Mike the Elder and Ed M. (AWOL) on Ch. 68 and it didn't sound like they were having much luck either, plus chatter on the same channel by others was more of the same...SLOW! Water temp. was 60F and should continue to drop with the cooler nights ahead. :)

You unfortunately called it right fried fillets!! SLOW.....had a friend out there from across the marina...he ended up with about 21...said he hit 7 off the bat at about Art Vans...then nothing....moved out to the 400...dropped in and they had a few doubleheaders...banged out 14....then nothing....then he couldn't get another bite....that was the best I saw or heard of.....was also amazed how fast that wind picked up from a beatiful calm early.....oh well...still plenty of time left to get'em....Time for football watching now!! Won't be back out till Tues. evening

Fished with Yellow-Fin today, we ended up with 40 decent perch, we fished the 400 most of the morning before making a couple quick moves, then ended up back at the 400 before calling it a day. We fished from 7:30 till 1:00 pm, had a great time, can't wait till next week ;) Seen a couple guy's fishing muskies, don't know if there from the site or not................

Same thing on the Canadian side. The wife and I worked hard for 35 keepers. Gone Fishing Jr. had to work the canal to get a few more for 2 family dinners. Hopefully, the next week of cooler temps will turn them on! PLEASE!

Went out Sunday too... We (Stealydawn) and myself covered the north end of the lake. Fished Goose, the Sni, took a look at the mouth of the clinton but what boats were out there were not doing much. Motored up to the north channel and all we could muster up was 3 measly keepers. Tossed them back for another day. Water temps have to drop by at least 7 to 10 more degrees b4 they start schooling real good. IFN and his gang were out also and from what the dnr guy at deckers said was they had 4.

Checking up on us huh?????:D We left Deckers and launched out of Algonac. Hit a few marinas in search of gills and crappies. Found the honey hole and took 35 real nice gills in about an hour......
Left Deckers??? It was a perfect day to sit at Deckers. LOL
