It's no biggie, but this forum is for mainly archery equipment related discusssion. If you have a report or a story or the like, that should go into the whitetail hunting forum. As I said, certainly no biggie. I'll just move some of the hunting stories. Thanks.

Just curious .Why can't this forum contain bowhunting threads like all the other archery forums on other websites ? They do go together .http://michigan-sportsman.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif

I kinda feel the same way as TnRidge. My logic is most gun hunters don't give a rats butt about any archery kills and some percentage are even aggrivated by archery kills.

Here's the header for the archery forum...
"General modern archery discussions about technique, equipment, etc. Do not post hunt reports here they go in the Michigan Whitetail Deer forum."
And then whitetail...
"Posts about hunting the whitetail deer in MI with firearms, bows, etc."
Then why even have a whitetail forum at all? And then why not just combine the QDM forum into the archery forum? Or ask compound questions in the traditional archery forum? Steve has done a very good job of making this site have nice, simple sub-forums. If someone has a question about anything with their bow, thay don't have to weigh through a bunch of "this happened to me" hunting reports. Over half of this state's deer hunter use archery and that number grows every year. At the store, I never hear anyone blame archery hunters for anything. (All blame goes to MDNR and the insurance companies because we know they kill all the deer  ) And if you think there is a problem, what better way to sway an angry gun hunters opinion? ;)
I think the forum guidelines are pretty simple.

The guidelines seem pretty simple, well thought out, and reasonable. Lets make the mods job easier and post things where they belong. Thanks.

Sorry ,just a thought . Mi. is the #1 bowhunting state ,and it's nice to hear some good bowhunting stories on occasion . Not trying to stir the pot .http://michigan-sportsman.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif

Try the whitetail forum, there's a 20-30 new bow hunting threads and a couple hundred new posts over there since opener. :)

What if your not bow hunting deer?
I guess if it's that big of a deal I certainly don't want to cause anyone any headaches. Like bandito said though, I don't think many hunters over there give a hoot about bowhunting stories. The traditional forum is just for traditional guys and they can talk about whatever they want. Maybe we could lump them all together and just have a bowhunting forum? Doesn't really matter to me I guess. Just a thought.

Erik, you must not have noticed my wink, and LOL at the end, I was just goofing around. Didnt mean anything by it. I just know the mods have questions like this ALL the time, I am laughing here but can see how someone can take it different.
My bad!!!!
No bad michigan buckmaster. I just didn't want anyone to think I'm complaining, cause I didn't mean it that way.
BTW...I found a poll on the subject. Seems the subject has already come up before.
My bad :o
