Killing you! I haven't fished in 2 weeks while we had all the beautiful weather. The 1st day I can go is tomorrow and it's supposed to blow like stink! :( I'm glad to see at least other M-Sers are getting out!
I might have to launch tonight and see if this front blowing in wakes them up.
Thats more of a dream than reality, the wife isn't well, even missed work. :( Earliest I could launch would be 2100.
Good luck guys, i'll be headed up after the 200 pounders tonight.
Neal
Good luck to you Neal.......like a man of your skills needs luck.
Don't forget to save those buck..I mean doe tails for me.:)

Some of us just live the good life...;)
Wanted to launch at Crocker, launch was closed, went to Blossom Heath to launch instead. Fished off nine mile (close in), GPYC, nine mile (farther out). Picked up some perch everywhere we stopped a bunch of dinks and about a dozen and a half keepers. Didn't see anyone killing them. I wish tomorrow was nicer, I'd be out there again...

Fish seemed scattered. Nothing to brag about. Great day for fishing. Fished in 14-17 fow. Perch spreaders and minnows. Thanks for the tip Ed.

Seeing how you couldn't make it, I stayed home and fixed a couple of mowers. Exhaust gaskets on one(along with a broken stud) and a couple of minor things on the other. Still have one to go.
It was nice out there in the morning!!!
I had a late start and only caught a handful. Since is was so nice, I ended up drifting around a bit to much. Water temp ranged from 60.5 to 62 degrees
Good luck later, I'm thinking the wind will have less effect inland on a stream. I'll have to call the other side of the state and see if I can get some to run down to the Galien R. and see if anything is there.

Fished Thursday afternoon, trolled up two pike in Goose Bay. Actually I did more exploring than fishing. When I hit the Lotto I'm going to buy something on Harsen's Island.
Took a ride over to Metro in front of the swimming area. I have never seen water that clear in Lake St. Clair. Four feet down you could count every leaf on every weed. Needless to say, there were absolutely no fish in the area, not even minnows.
Anything happening up in the St. Clair River? Thinking about Russell Island or South Channel.

Darn I almost worked 5 days in a row. Well it was to nice out there today. I slept in the true afternoon fashion and got to fishing around noon. Started out a ways off of masonic. Dinks. I moved a few times and ended up closer in 14.5 fow off of 11 mile. It was still slow but when a school came in all 10 rods would hit (joke) I stayed there for one hr. and ended up with 22 fish 9" and better biggest was just under 11". The schools would come in every 10 to 15 minuets with strays hear and there. As I sat there all I could think of Is Canada. So off I went. Heck gas is cheap  started around the basset and hit 5 spots with in 2 miles of that place . I hit some steady action but my largest fish was 9". I moved a few spots towards the Johnston. The south wind kicked up 2 footers, I had Anchor set but Had just about enough.
Bar night is still a go tonight with the promise of all sat honey doooo's . Good plan Ahh. See you on Sunday. Still trying to figure out how to tell the wife I'm crashing on the boat tonight?
PS only dirty water is in the center of the lake. The Canidans had nets out towards the Basset -just off the south chl. aobout 2 miles and off shore 4 miles. 19 fow. Its marked with blu. markers about 3 foot tall. I think I saw them picke up the net (or just check it) just a word of cautinon if your heading towards that area. (John draw a line from you boat to your spot you'll just miss it ;) )

Best report on perch I have heard in a while Ed !! Good job! With the way the weather looks could be a rough time getting out there this weekend! The past few days I have been getting the brick jobs out of the way so I can do the important work....getting on those perch!!

Blow day Saturday...Don't forget the spot(s) I suggested Ed and Houghton Laker...You will certainly get out of the wind... ;)
KB and I headed out about 1900, had just turned north and didn't have two sips off the first pop when a reel started singing. Kev got a nice stubby, fat, clean and sassy 'ski in the boat that buried the 15# Boga. I know it didn't go 20#, but it was a feisty one. One other rip and other than that the only thing we caught were weeds and a Merc ELPTO 90. Never did bother to rig for wally. Not a bad way to kill a couple hours on an early fall evening.

Esox,
Thanks for the trip out and proof that you do catch some fish on your boat and you're not just an expert with paintshop.;)
