Here it is...7:20 opening morning and I'm at work on the computer.What on Earth is the matter with me?Why didn't I take today off?Have I lost my mind?There's only one other guy here that hunts and he just walked over to me to find out whats wrong with the two of us :dizzy:
I'll be going out tonight and all weekend,but at the moment it's a small comfort.This isn't going to happen again :rant: Good luck to all ya other guys who are as unfortunate as I am and you're reading this right now,but heading out later.At least it's not like gun season,there'll be plenty of action later.

I would have to AGREE with ya i was sitting here thinking the same thing then the reallity of it all came back to haunt ME...
I have a project at home the the bathroom floor that rotted out on me so I am HOPING to have it put back together by Sat. anyway..
I will at least have Sunday to get out for a while???

My boss walk up this morning and about Sh!@ his pants when he seen me at my desk. He ask "Isn't to day Oct. 1st???? What are you doing here?" I'm asking myself that question to. :confused:

Yeah, I got the same thing from my boss! And I find myself wondering what the heck I AM doing at my desk! Especially after seeing a bunch of deer out feeding on my way into work! Oh well, tomorrow morning will be here soon enough!

I hear ya dino. Unfortunately I'm limited to the amount of time off that I have due to the new house that I am building. Dang, first opener I've missed in a long time. I'll have to wait until tonight, good luck to all that get out.

Was going to go out but the nieghbor fell and broke his hip about midnight last night and is suppose to have surgery this morning,They needed to have someone let thier dog out today until family can come up.It's no big deal,I'm glad to do it and besides I've got the whole season.........

Yep, I am insane for being here and not on stand! I saw 3 deer at 3 different spots crossing the raods this morning on my way in. Kinda makes me mad, but it is my last day before I head to da UP for a week of bear hunting. Then back here to deer hunt!
I saw those deer all around 5:30am. That seems early for this time of year. Wonder of it was the bright moon?

As I drove to work watching the deer inthe fields it made my stomach turn and then the occasional car parked on the side of the road only made it worse. My Boss well he told me yesterday I will see you tomorrow at 8 o'clock right! (I work with my Dad :lol:) He knows what today is but he is not a bowhunter. Thank god he is a gun hunter it is real easy to get those days off to go to the camp :lol: I keep telling myself it is too warm anyways like that will ever really sink in and make a lick of difference to me. Guess what you guys it gets worse tomorrow my daughter has a soccer game............at 9:00am :yikes: I may hunt till 8:00 and call my wife to see if it is cancelled or not due to the forcasted rain otherwise I will climb down and watch her play. Oh well the season is long and I don't ever miss my girls games. Good luck all I want pictures come Monday from all you big buck slayings ;)

I at work by my own accord this morning. The last few years the first couple of weeks haven't been at all productive so I decided to save the couple extra days I usually take for the opener for a little later in the season. Now that I'm at work and friends of mine are in the woods I'm chomping at the bit. I wonder if I made the right decision. :bash: Oh well I do get to head out tonight!

I hear what your saying. I saw plenty of deer in the fields on my way to work this morning and it just about killed me not watching the sunrise from my stand. I have way to many projects at home and work and with my kids schedules, I may not get in a tree until mid to lat Oct. Jeez! I need to get less of a conscious and better at scheduling.
