this weeks report 10-30- 04 - walleye

Today the old farts ventured out to see if the walleye had made their way back to the river. they fished the american side because the canadian was the color of cement. the fish were not biting too well either.four fish were boated with only 1 that was not snagged jigging by the lighthouse near peach island.the water is still very muddy and may take a few more days to settle out because of the winds on tuesday and wednesday. I may go sunday if the weather is not too cold. 39 degrees sounds like winter.good luck to all and may the best handliner win because thats what its gonna take to put them in the boat.let me know how you do and where they are so i have a fair shot at them sunday. dan :yikes:

i was , i have an invitational for walleye central i fish every year. got my dates mixed up looking at the calender.should have read 9-30. sorry. hey, at least i post true reports, and try to get them weekly. Dan :confused:

Thanx for the report Dan. If the wind is to much for perch sat and sun I may get the river boat out and do some handlining. That stained water is just right for a day time fish.

You didn't like the color of the water cause the wind we had, do you realise that on Saturday they are forcasting 14 mph winds?

Sorry to mention it, they are wrong alot.
Best of luck if you go, I'm leaning towards some inland fishing for some big guys, if they've started running.
