Any one huntin' the ground pigs........

Went out Sat. and secured some woodchuck huntin' grounds and missed the same chuck 3 times:o !!! It was 163 yards and I aimed low but the 3rd time I pulled to the right:eek: !!! My pardner got 1 and missed another!!!!

It's been a couple weeks since I've been out but last time I shot another chuck with my bow. The total count for the year is 5 now... 2 with the bow and 3 with the gun.

We are gettin' the chucks out of fresh cut hay fields, they tear up the ground and can destroy foundations too:eek: !! We leave'm for crow and yote bait.

We got 4 tues night. I shot one at 250 yards, aimed for the head and thats were the 162 gr 7mm mag put it!!! we were using a range finder!!!:D

I have not shot a single one this year. I love to do it. My record is 39 in one year (April - October). I need some new turf.

I have gotten 10 with my Ruger 10/22 this year all within 70 yards of my house! They have really torn up the drainage ditch next to my house.

I was out at my Grandpas two weeks ago and he had a wood chuck under his pole barn. he told me to keep watching for him so I sat down beside the pole barn with the semi auto .22 in my hand. after about ten minutes of waiting I finaly saw him poke his snout out of his hole i quickly put my cross hairs on his snout and sqeezed the trgger and let me tell you I have NEVER seen so much blood splatterd on the backside of a barn. I got the job done ,but the bad part was I had to wash the barn:(

you guys want to get lots of destructive chucks you ought to get some conibear traps. Between my buddies and I we can easily average a couple hundred a season.
