got 2 hrs fishing in today. Water is looking good . I fished the stained water only 1 1/2 miles out form 9 mile and ended up with a small handfull of perch. The water looked clear a few 100 yards out. I ended up running out of minnows. lots of dinks/bass/sheephead. perch rigs worked at first then slips took over. I'm sure the lake will be in good shape for Fri. and the weekend. (if it doesn't blow Sat and Sun??)

I took this photo while out there . I just pointed into the lake and shot. when I got home I noticed two thing in the water???? no Idea what they are. If you can't click on the photo and get it larger you should be able to go in my phots and click it larger.

Not looking good Ed! I hope they are wrong. 30 knot winds Saturday will tear it up again. :(
SATURDAY
WEST WINDS TO 30 KNOTS...DECREASING TO 10 TO 20 KNOTS
LATE. MOSTLY CLOUDY DURING THE MORNING. PARTLY CLOUDY DURING THE
AFTERNOON. A CHANCE OF SHOWERS DURING THE MORNING. WAVES 2 TO 4
FEET. A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IS LIKELY.
SUNDAY
SOUTHWEST WINDS 10 TO 20 KNOTS. PARTLY CLOUDY. WAVES 1 TO
2 FEET.
Dang, that figures, I was looking forward to a long day on the lake Sunday. I guess I had best dig out some of those custom painted Ho lures, then try to bounce them off a fishes nose.
I did hit the shore last night for a quick trip for eyes. Saw a little bit of bait popping, but not a lot of activity, and there was NO activity on the end of my rod. I expected better with that big orb in the sky luring me down to the lake.

and there was NO activity on the end of my rod. I casted at Harley for a while last night too and had the same luck...

Ed, they kinda look like a pair of Cormerants to me???? (One about to dive under water?) Wouldn't doubt it, they're where the perch are
:yeahthat: I missed the question the first time through the thread. Damn little greaseball fish hogs. If you see them out on the lake, it's always worth a try around them, IF they left any perch for you.

Gus Thats what I was thinking . Its weard I didn't see them out there.
John thats not good can you call the weather people back and get that changed Tahnx. If its to bad in the am I'm making it a pm fish. looks like it may lay down a little in the afternoon? Not that it will help the water clearity.
John thats not good can you call the weather people back and get that changed Tahnx.
I second that. John, would you please get on that right away? You know how those federal agencies tend to move a bit slowly.

I wish guys, I really wish! There was a chance that I would be taking Deno Cisserili (sp) former Red Wing and I know my son and I would really enjoy the stories on that trip. Hopefully we can plan it for another time. I'd hate to take him out and get him skunked and sea sick. He can kick my butt with one arm tied behind his back! :p
