Hello

Went out this morning perch fishing. Went out by the N.Channel - was pulling up perch like crazy. Too bad they were all dinks! Moved closer to shore by the seven sisters, all kinds of perch biting-ALL DINKS! :bash:

We always fish anywhere from Fair Haven bouy to Grassy. Is anyone having luck catching decent size perch in this area?:fish: :help:

Hey PG... :Welcome:

I was out there last sun and fished 6 or 7 spots between the bay down to B marker and over by grassy.... nothing happening. The dinks are an improvement from last weekend. I did mark a good school of something between Strawberry and the mouth of the clinton, but the tuna boats kept me from stopping and fishing..I ran all the way down to 10 mile from the fairhaven launch looking for them... Hopefully soon!!!

drifted this morning out from yacht club looking for a school of hungry perch...finally found some about 1hr. into the drift.....we anchored and pulled out about 25 before they died down around 11:00....had 1 double header of 10 inchers :) ......didn't take long to have a group of boats with us!! Most of them also did well!! they all said it slowed for them at the same time!!...Wife had a headache so she did not want to go out for a afternoon fish :bash: Oh well there is always Football!! Taught my partner the finer points of slip bobber fishing! He loved it! Caught 75% of fish on slips!

Hey H.Laker, what size slip bobber do you guys use out there. Isnt hard to see it go down when it is choppy out there. Never tried it, but i think it is the way to do it now the water is so clear, simple hook bobber and split. I think perch rigs are too visable

I use the medium sized bobber....big enough so you can see it when it is rough!! I do better on those than the perch rigs...but I use both!!I get set up with the bobber then drop down the perch rigs!! Nothing like a double header of 11 inchers!! :)

Was wondering, under the slip bobber, do you just simply tie on a hook, with maybe a split shot a foot or so above, and let her out there like that? Thanks, might want to try the perch thing soon!
