If you read Dormins post " don't make me shoot you" you will all agree that situations like this are brought up every year. I for one am trying to prevent this in the areas that I hunt. When I hunt downstate here (where pressure is much greater on public land) I will now be leaving a note of some sort alongside my truck. The woods are open for all to use but I feel that if I let someone know where I am and also leave a pen for others to note what area they will be in we will all have happier hunts. Anyone that has hunted public land has had thate late runner come by around 9am and wonder why you gave him/her the worst look possible. This could be a win win action for all to pick up. A pen costs $.15 and some paper under a nickel, a tack about a dime, hey..... for under $.50 we could all be happier and SAFER in the woods. If anyone comes across one of these papers where you hunt, take the 30 seconds and fill it out. Of course, you dont need to tell your exact position, but at least the general area. ie. ( I am hunting the s.e. corner of the woods west of the parking site 11/15/04) easy as that. I'll end this one one..... help each other and stay SAFE in the woods!!!!! good luck everyone
