I currently have a matthews mq 32 and am thinking of getting the q 2, is there a big enough diifferece in the bows to justify the cost of a new bow? I am pretty new to bow hunting so any suggestions would help me out a lot! Also i am going to make a recurve this week, has anybody else done this and do you have any suggestions on how you went about it. I have access to a wide variety of woodworking tools and different woods since that is what i do for a living. Just don't want to waste my time and i don't want to make mistakes others have done, thanks. Dan

the Q2 is a great bow, as is Mathews. Make sure you check out some other bows though if you are buying. I would suggest shooting the bowtech Patriot, and the hoyt Vipertech, they are both great bows as well and can do some things that the Mathews cannot.

The Q2 is a more forgiving bow than the MQ32 . Buy whatever fits you and you shoot the best ,regardless of what everyone else shoots . I currently shoot a Mathews ,but my next bow will be an AR34 ,because I like the way it feels in my hand ,and they way it shoots .
