never a camera around when you want one! Just today my son got one that was 25" and 7-1/2lbs on my cheap scale! Right after I nabbed one of 22" and over 5lbs!

Such fun to catch, wonder why they love to twirl around your line as you fight em in?

Nice catch, do you eat them?
What type of bait were you using?

no eatin there, kinda like to put the big ones back for next year.
;)
nothing fancy for bait, just crawlers or chicken liver...done well for big ones with both. I always tend to go light on the weight though. Just let it float downstream with the flow of the current.

You cats must be fishing those kats on the E end of the river.......We never caught any that big in the Mountain Town. Used to do well over at Sanford in the summertime...Buddy of mine even wrote a song about it....
