Kings past 6th Street?

I haven't fished the Grand for Kings before. Wondering how far they make it upriver? Do they go past 6th?

I've seen Coho's in Lansing but what about the Kings? :help:

I am guessing they can make it to Lansing if the Cohos can.

Kings are not known for long distance traveling rather, they prefer or are forced due to a biological time constraint to stop at the first available gravel. Some will make it as far as lansing, but in extremely limited numbers. The reason the Coho are planted in the Grand in such high numbers is that they are known to travel farther and last longer in the rivers, hence many more will make it to Lansing as opposed to the kings and that's why they're planted in this particular river.

Quite a few Kings go over the ladder at GR and finding them between there and Lansing is fairly easy provided you know which sections in between there have gravel and/or smaller tribs that contain gravel. All I'll say is that if you're looking for them in Lansing, you're looking too far upriver! ;)
