Port Austin Area Walleye

Hi Group-

I have a meeting up in Port Austin this Friday and am tempted to trailer the boat. Is there any walleye action up there (and down toward Caseville) right now? I'm not set up for really any other species at this time (no riggers etc...). I don't know the area very well at all.

Any pointers would be appreciated...

When I was coming in last friday, a couple other dudes were coming in as well. They had been out fishing for 'eyes and had caught nothing all day.

its pretty rough out there today,Mike..........Tom

Way too rough. Didn't even get the boat off the trailer. I did though see some guys in a 16-footer pull two salmon out of the harbor at Port Austin around 12;30 or so. Looked like j-plugs.
