Erie perch report hit em pretty good on 9/11 retun trip planned for 9/12 (pics)

Fished Erie to day with my kids,fished in 23 feet of water south of FERMI,hit em pretty good ended up with 113 keepers,put in at 10 out by 6.Headed back Erie in am with a retired buddie from work on his boat.

Hit em good again to took our 2 man limet on by buddies boat " fillet of soul",started same spot as yesterday moved out to 27 feet put 70 in the box in a hurry,had to work for the last 30,did a lot of culling today threw back 35 to 40 small perch,overall the fish ran little smaller today then yesterday,still had a blast. This was my buddies first trip to Erie in his boat,I think he'll be back soon. He's retired and talking about going tuesday.

superintentent of fish and steve from ypsi,sunday state park store had shiners,jeff's had the worst minnows I'VE ever see,not even flatheads or chubs thy were red in color. WE had our best luck on shiners both days.It's happaning perch are plentiful.

Good job on the percho's-I think they'll eat a bit better than Kristi's giant sheephead..LOL:p .

Don't knock the Rosy Red minnows. We had to use them a few weeks ago when shiners couldn't be found and the perch gobbled 'em up. Unfortunately, so did the white perch.

Launched at Sterling to day , fished out in 24 fow in front of Fermi caught about 30 keepers and a few sheepers . Had to work for them , water seemed a little muddy .

Thats good to know,never seen them before,seems like in the past when there out of shiner chubs ,flatheads are what they throw at you,next time I'll try some red ones out.

didn't make yesterday,just got a phone call from a buddie who was out there yesterday morning,said he faired o.k. caught a meal before he headed in ,said it was pretty bumpy when he headed in.
