Well it's 10:58 p.m. and I still have two rods out waiting for another cat.
My friend Charlie came over to fish tonight, he is from FLA. and wanted to relax next to the shore of Lake Huron.
I'm glad he did as he was the one taking the pics for me!
This fish hit like a 1# cat then as I was taking the bell off the rod the line started singing, I thought I hooked a big brown or salmon.
As we saw it coming towards shore we thought it was an undersized Sturgeon.
I explained to Charlie I'd have to let it go.
Then I realized it was a catfish.
I even woke Cindy up :) to show her.
On my rusty ol weigh scale it goes 17 pounds,
biggest one yet this year for us .

Awesome fish, Kirk! Lots of nice filets, dusted in corn meal and fried in peanut oil, yum! :)

Steve , sorry it's the same fish twice .
Ever see a brown trout without spots and whiskers?
Very strange indeed :)
We got two steak sized slabs of pure white meat off that fish after it was trimmed up.
Had a few more nibbles but I think the cats are heading to the rivers so they can winter.
Time to try the river mouths at night.
