Kalamazoo river walleye?

Does anyone know when they start catching walleye in the kalamazoo river? I fished for them once before down where 1-96 crosses. We drifted down stream with craler harnesses. I caught a nine-pounder!

I was wondering when this fishery is decent.

Has anyone fished this?
