:o
After a sharp decline in my favorite Pike fishery,I was sure that the catch & keep fisherman, had wiped out the fishing.Having gone from 5-10 pike a day,to 3 or 4 year, made me question the ethics of some of the other fisherman, working the same waters.
Well,I saw something yesterday that changed my mind.I,heard a big splash, and looked down river about 50 yards. There playing in the water was the biggest OTTER,I've ever seen.I've seen a number of them, both in
Michigan & Florida, and this one was twice as big as any I've ever seen.
So once again,I, have to apoligize for losing my faith in humanity as the cold hard facts point to a more natural cause in the devastation of a once great fishery.
As it is illegal to harm otter's in this area.Guess I'll have to wait until it moves on,before I can expect any more 300+ years, of catch & release Pike Fishing!
Even though I've got egg on my face,I'm glad to have mind changed as to the culprit. :o
