Wabasis Lake

Did anyone fish Wabasis Lake this weekend? I tried it with my father in law on Sunday and we did not do very well. Caught a couple of gills and some small perch and that was it. I have had pretty good luck for bass out there in the past using crawler harnesses, but the bite was not there this time. Marked lots of fish at 30 ft in 40 fow just couldnt get them to bite.

I have not fished that lake on a holiday in a few years. But the holiday traffic does churn it up bad. That could be part of the reason for the slow bite. There are good fish in that lake. Time of week and what hour to hit it is a a key with the busy traffic it gets.

That might be the case. Recreational traffic wasn't bad when we were there. There was a lot of weeds and broken pads floating in the water. Possibly from the traffic the day before.
