Don't worry, don't worry I will leave some to re-populate the species. So if you hear the horse shoes clanking and a lot of hootin and hollering don't worry it will only last 5 days. :evil:

good luck up there ranger ray! i've been meaning to get up there myself.... but as always, conflicting schedules. I need to do something about that next year. hiawatha national forest sounds like a good canoe camping trip to me, even going solo.

Be sure not to take a LIBERAL limit, be very CONSERVATIVE with your take of beautiful UP Brookies ;) . I envy you, the leaves should start changing up there soon and you should have some cool weather. I have to start a tradition like that!

And most importantly, the bugs should be on their downside.You have that right! One of the big reasons we go so late. Plus it allows me to do a little bird hunting also. Brookies and ruffed grouse in the same meal don't get any better than that. ;)

Ranger Ray. My buddy and I just got back from Sault ste. marie. The pinks are hot right now. We got a two man limit in a short period of time. Very small cleo's in pink or orange. Tried kings in the manistee also. very sad. Not sure if thats you'r area?
