:bash: Friday morning, my day off and I am going to head out to Nepessing for some bass and pike fishing. The fog delays my departure but I get to the lake by 8:45. Only one other boat out and the parking lot is empty. Cool no hassle unloading. I get out and start to do some top water fishing. My trolling motor is working great. Start up the big Force a couple of times to move........then it happens NO POWER and a bunch of noice coming form the motor. I have two gas tanks so I switched thinking maybe bad gas. Nope still hardly any power. So I slowly make it across the lake to the launch area.
Pull off the top try to rev up the motor. No luck. Back out and still very little power. So I load it up and head for home. TIme on the water...11/2 hours.
All the way home wondering what could be wrong. Thinking about working on it or maybe having to take it in. I get home put it in the pole barn and take the cover off and there it is, THE PROBLEM. A piece of the cheap insulation had come off and was stuck in the carb. So I tore the rest off. Starting it up and it ran beautiful. I noticed a lot of sand like fragments from the insulation on the bottom so I cleaned it all up. THe cheap thin foam ruined my day of fishing. What has ruined your day??? Post it for all to read. :fish:

Too many powerboaters and/or pwc's  The vast majority of these people (morons), don't have a clue as to shareing the lake with others. Good thing it's illegal to carry RPG's ;) . Bob.

Let's see.

Clogged in-line fuel filter. Bad Coil. Broken points. Stuck throttle cable. Frozen water pump line, (to many December/January days on the Titabawassee). Bad gas, (not mine) the engines. But you might as well add mine as well. Broken Trailer tunge while launching at Gordonville. Lucky the top part stayed together enough to pull it back up the ramp. Brother in law saved the day with portable welder. Forgot to buy minnows. Left rods in garage. Put thunderstick trebles past the barb in upper thigh. Had people get sea sick in rough water way more than once. And probably a few more I forgot or just do not want to remember. :tdo12:

Flat tire in the rain. A nick in the line. Lost her phone number ! Clerk checked my I.D. (when I was young !) Unexpected overtime. Hatchet and thumb incident. Judge obviously didn't get any the night before ! Realizing there is more hair in the sink and on my brush than is left in my head. Etc., Etc., Etc. :yikes:
