Oarchard Lake Report

I got the oppurtunity to do a tad bit of fishing today. It was wonderful. In 20 mins of fishing, hooked into 2/3 nice fish. Got one bass and 2 gills. One was very nice. Anyways, it was a good gay to be out and crawlers were the ticket.

I fished there before a few times! I was near the south end of the lake, and about 10 ft. from the back stood a tree that was over the water, partially in. I skip casted my grub and let it hit bottom, jigging it and swimming it then WHAM! My reel started screaming.....I held my rod high and saw the bass jump! This is no lie, it ws about 6lbs. and I got it to boatside, but soo anxious that I slipped and missed the mouth, yanking on the line and breaking the fish off. This was a dramatic expierence, I don't know if it is a cursed rod or what:rolleyes: , because I used this 7ft. med. action spinning rod to hook a tarpon in Florida, got it to dock side when it slipped under and broke off near the barnacles! Can my luck get any worse!!! :rolleyes:
