Come on guys, I know some of you must be fishing. Let us know how you are doing weather it be an inland lake or LSC or SC. river. Does anyone know if anything is happening in Marine city or Algonac or any of the channels. I will be going to the north channel tommorrow for a few wally's.

Mike, don't know how much help this is since last Sat. was my first visit to LSC. I've been fishing out of Erie Metropark last 5 times and wanted to try something new. Launched at 6AM North of Metro and fished for smallies along the West side in 11 - 12 ft. using splitshot plastics. I was a lot further from land than most of the crowd in fact saw more folks looking like they were scouting (didn't see much catching) for eyes where I was drifting. Wind was out of the SE about 10-15, used drift bag. Fished till about 11; too many pleasure boats for my taste. Managed to C&R about 15 smallies and 5 LMB with a couple going 18". I hope to try around the North end (mouth of North channel, etc.) next time out. FWIW I would try Erie for eyes but like I said I hate crowds and I'll bet the launches out of Monroe are packed. Good luck! Jim

Went out saturday, first time in a couple weeks, and did SQUAT!?!?!?!

Was out with a buddy (one of the tourney gurus), and ran all over the American shoreline, throwing everything in his 10 boxes...lol, and couldnt get the bass going for nothing. I think this may have been our last trip in shallow water, as the fish have likely moved out to the 12-15' flats and if they aren't there then they are on the flats directly adjacent to the shipping channel. Just seems a little early for that, although we have had some very warm weather.

On the way in, we did a little flippin in along Black Creek (canal), and picked up a couple of decent bucketmouths, and 2 little "jack" pike. Had better days of bassin' to say the least!

Anyway fellas, I know most of you are big walleye guys but I will post any info I pick up as we continue the great 7lb smallie hunt. Anyone been on 'em lately?

FISH ON!!!
